Juvenile delinquency attracts special attention of scientists and law enforcement practitioners for many reasons, the main one being that persons who committed unlawful acts at an early age are later much more difficult to correct. The specificity of juvenile delinquency depends on the characteristics of the socio-psychological development of adolescents - inadequate psychophysical, age and social maturity, distorted perceptions of moral priorities, etc. In order to prevent crime in this category of citizens, it is necessary to minimize the impact of negative socio-economic and educational factors. When considering juvenile delinquency, it is necessary to study not only a specific crime, but also its determination. The existence of conditions and reasons contributing to the commission of crimes by minors does not mean inevitability. These reasons are amenable to regulation and neutralization, the system of crime prevention measures used by state bodies is of great importance here. The results of the study can be used by subjects of crime prevention for minors in the implementation of preventive measures, as well as applied in the learning process when studying the course of criminology in higher education institutions.
