Socio-economic conditions of work of scientific and pedagogical workers of Saratov in the 1920s

The article clarifies the socio-economic conditions of the teaching staff of Saratov universities in the first decade of Soviet power and carries out the analysis of the process of formation of the Soviet system of higher education. On the base of archival materials, the author analyzes the financial situation and working conditions of teachers and reveals the ways and methods of solving the problems of material security.
