Socio-economic development of the regions of Russia

The article gives an assessment of the socio-economic development of the regions, taking into account the unprecedented changes in the external conditions for the functioning of the Russian economy. It is noted that in recent decades the gap between Russian regions has partially decreased. The authors consider the rating of regions, according to which there has been a positive trend in all major macroeconomic indicators at the end of 2021 compared to 2020. An analysis of indicators of industrial production, agriculture, and forecasts of further development are given.
