The article considers the dynamics of social and economic development of Russia in a globalizing world. The processes affecting the development of the world economy are identified. The authors determine the main external and internal economic and political factors that influenced the development of the situation. A list of the main stages and steps of economic reform is compiled. Myths in the minds of foreign researchers in Russia and our population are identified. The main stages of the formation of the new foreign policy of Russia are formulated. The authors study the influence of Russia's foreign policy on the main characteristics of economic policy - foreign direct investment and foreign trade. It is determined that the feeling of the effectiveness of social development is measured through the prism of satisfying the needs and achieving personal goals of the population. They analyze the main indicators of social development and show the growth trend of the average life expectancy. It is determined that a sense of the effectiveness of economic development lies through the prism of satisfying interests and achieving business goals. It is revealed that the basis of the new economic policy is the construction of an innovative infor-mation economy. The dynamics of the indicator of actual final consumption of households, the provision of the population with cars and housing is disclosed. The place of Russia in the economic development of the world in terms of GDP, recounted, according to purchasing power parity, is studied.
