Socio-cultural perspectives of health and illness

The author considers the multi-dimensional notion of health as being one of the most complicated and existentially important criteria characterizing the quality of life. The topic of the work is connected with the anthropological and existential idea of man and his specifically normal and healthy functioning. In this sense, not only certain structures of men’s organism are taken ill, but man as a whole. Thus the problematic of men’s health and illness comes closer to the situations of real life, i.e. to the circumstances of positive and negative trials.
