Social and cultural conditions of formation of patriotic consciousness of the youth

The article deals with the conceptual and categorical apparatus of young people patriotic consciousness formation, including in terms of developing social and cultural activity. It is shown that the essence of patriotism and the processes of its education are determined primarily by the irrational, value-semantic attitude of a person to the state of which he is a citizen, where the semantic core is a sense of patriotism, pride for his country. Patriotic consciousness acts as a holistic system of the young mans representations about himself, including his self-esteem as a citizen and patriot. At the same time, the social and cultural conditions that provide the necessary opportunities for young people to fully develop Patriotic consciousness contain the full range of the social and cultural environment opportunities, including the purposeful activities of cultural institutions, additional education, public organizations, as well as all purposefully designed forms of influence and interaction of subjects of social and cultural activities. In the system of social and cultural conditions, the author identified two subsystems (subsystem of personality-oriented methods, techniques and forms of social and cultural activity, and organizational and management subsystem), effectively ensuring the formation of Patriotic identity in cultural institutions, additional education, public organizations.
