Socio-cultural project as a mechanism of patriotic education of modern youth

The article is devoted to comprehending the issue of formation of youth patriotism in modern conditions. The content of the concept «patriotism » is clarified, some patriotism characteristics of modern student youth are given, the significant potential of a socio-cultural project in solving the tasks of patriotic education of the younger generation is emphasized, one of the examples of the use of socio-cultural projecting technology for forming and strengthening students’ patriotism in the practice of the higher educational institution of culture is highlighted.
