Social and linguistic interpretation of the order of the FMS of Russia dated may 26, 2014 № 379 (part 1)

Migration processes occupy an important place in the modern world. Unfortunately, the legislative framework of the Russian Federation has not yet regulated all the issues related to obtaining the status of ‘native Russian’: there is no exact methodology for conducting a comprehensive interview, the conceptual apparatus is not described. So the number of appeals increases every year, and each region has the right to interpret to organize the conduct of this exam. The purpose of this study is to provide a linguistic description of clause 1.1. Order of the FMS of Russia of May 26 2014, No. 379 «on approval of requirements to specialists who are members of the Commission for recognition of a foreign citizen or stateless person as a native speaker of the Russian language» (2019). Using the method of analysis of dictionary definitions, we structured the requirements for conducting a comprehensive interview specified in clause 1.1. of the above-mentioned normative act, presented a description of the texts of abstract-philosophical, professional orientation. The article also presents a linguistic description of texts created in the framework of artistic and journalistic styles. Authors of the article conclude that in the framework of a comprehensive study, the Commission may refer to the materials reflecting the national specifics of the region.
