The socially-oriented development of rural areas as a direction of the region's social development strategy

One of the imperative objectives of Russia is economy that badly needs some effective measures implementation is the provision of high living standards and quality of life for rural population. Within the given research the authors show the clear interrelation between the socially-oriented development of rural areas and the region’s social development. In this regard the research proves that the strategy of social development can tackle the given problem on the regional level as it embodies some priority tasks aimed at the provision system’s steady development in the long-term perspective as well as the rural areas adjustment to rapid changes in the country’s geopolitics. The special emphasis is made on the development of social infrastructure of rural areas that reflects the interaction between material and physical resources of rural environment and its resident and contributes to the improvement of living standards. The authors underline the significance of rural areas social development in like with its economic prosperity that guarantee the residents high incomes and employment, the improvement of investment climate and the increase social and economic potential
