Socio-political crisis of late 1920s in Afghanistan and the fall of Amanullah-Khan's regime

This article aims to analyze the reasons of socio-political crisis of late 1920s in Afghanistan, resulting in the fall of basically progressive Amaa-khan's regime, and then to civil war - the first of such kind in the East. The research underlines the role of monarch himself in failure of his reformist experiment, as well the influence of other domestic and external (British, Soviet, Turkish, etc) factors to the course and output of the Afghan developments late 1920s-early 1930s, which heavily determined the advent to power of authoritarian-oligarchic clan of Nadir-khan and his brothers.
