Socio-legal nature and the concept of public service in the context of interaction between citizens, society and the state

The main characteristics of the public service are considered, which includes both state and municipal service. The norms of the Constitution of Russia, other legislative acts, scientific works on the stated issues are analyzed. It is noted that this integrated institution began to be studied relatively recently, when it became clear that the specified types of service regulated and studied separately before have more in common than differences. The socio-legal nature of the public service is revealed, within which the interaction of citizens, society and the state is shown, and an appropriate definition is proposed.
