Socio-psychological training of law enforcement officials for participation in peacekeeping operations

The paper examines various aspects of the socio-psychological training of law enforcement officials - candidates for participation in peacemaking and peacekeeping operations of the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the European Union, the African Union and other peacekeeping missions deployed in the zones of regional conflicts. A brief description of the extreme conditions in which the personnel of these missions perform functional tasks is given. The paper analyzes the socio-psychological problems and conflicts that peacekeepers have to face when carrying out professional tasks related to the objectives of operations. The need to pay increased attention to to social-psychological training at pre-mission stage as well as during the mission on the territory of peacekeeping mission is emphasized.
