Social and psychological training to address the professional burnout and empirically test its effectiveness

This article discusses the effectiveness of remedial work to overcome the syndrome of emotional burnout in health care workers in the form of socio-psychological training. The training program was developed based on the results of an empirical study of personality characteristics of the medical staff. The study involved 40 doctors and nurses with a high level of emotional burnout, established as a result of this syndrome diagnosis using a questionnaire HSS - MBI C. Maslash, adapted N.E. Vodopyanova survey for health professionals. The formulation of the training was on the assumption that the leading role in the development of burnout play personality traits of medical workers. The study of personality characteristics of medical workers was carried out using a scale of trait anxiety B.H. Spielberg - J.L. Hanin, Zung Depression Scale, coping test R. Lazarus and S. Folkman, test life orientations (LSS) D.A. Leontiev and test "The level of subjective control" (ACC) E.F. Bazhina, E.A. Golynkin, A.M. Etkind. It is established that an important role in overcoming burnout in health care workers have the following personal characteristics: a low level of anxiety, constructive coping strategies, internality, and meaningful life.
