The article deals with the “social disadvantage” concept as one of the reasons of victimization of a person. The mass marginalization and lumpenization of Russian population, occurred at the end of the last century, led to decline of living standards, the breakdown of traditional social relations, and eventually to the mass desocialization, that is a prerequisite of the individual victimization.
