The article defines the goals, objectives, key factors, methods and ways of children's socialization at preschool institutions, as well as challenges faced by preschool teachers. The value of proper psychological training of preschool teachers is emphasized. The author considers the role of family and teachers' work with parents, since it is the family that forms the views about the world, people, society, values and behaviour norms. It is concluded that the children's socialization in preschools depends on the combination and the complex influence of all the mentioned factors.
