Social orphanity in sociological study

The article proposes a study of the phenomenon of social orphanhood, the social causes of the spread of social orphans, as well as some of their features in residential institutions. Social orphanhood is a rather alarming sign, which shows not only unhealthy processes in the socio-economic sphere, but also the growing rate of cultural and moral deficit in society, the distortion of the institution of the family, and the lack of attention of the State to the problems of maintaining a family with children throughout the entire period of reform. In addition, attention is drawn to the origins of social orphanhood, namely, the general civilization processes that take place in under the influence of the devaluation of family values, the predominance of personal-achievable and hedonistic motivations compared to parental ones - both from men and from women
