The article deals with the problem of managing the staffing of non-state higher education institutions from the positions of various schools of management. The author reveals the concepts of social management and private higher education. A non-governmental institution is considered from the point of view of managing a large manufacturing enterprise. The article gives practical recommendations on increasing the level of management of the process of staffing non-state universities with students.
