Social health of the Yamal population as an imperative for sustainable development of the territory

The article discusses the issue of health preservation and healthy lifestyle formation among the population of the Russian Federation and residents of its northern territories, including the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In the context of disappointing demographic dynamics, the authorities are faced with the task of finding optimal solutions to preserve the social health of the residents of specific territories. The article studies the basic concepts of health formation and preservation, analyzes the regulatory framework of the issue under study. The paper presents the results of a monitoring sociological study of the state of health of Yamal residents and the range of their value judgments regarding their own health and the state of medicine in the district. It is concluded that in the context of the global crisis and political instability it is necessary to modernize the regional healthcare systems, focusing on state adaptation programs for health preservation of the population of the Arctic territories of the Russian Federation.
