Social health of modern youth as a priority of social policy of the state

Studying the issues related to the social health of modern youth is the urgent task. In accordance with the scientific researches on this subject it becomes more apparent that the measures taken by the state to strengthen, preserve and improve the social health of modern youth have impact on the future not only of the particular country but of the world as a whole. This study describes various approaches to defining the concepts of “social health”, “social health of youth”, “youth”, “social policy of the state” and “state youth policy”. The paper deals with the aspects of social state policy which functioning aims at improving and strengthening the social health of the modern Russian youth. The authors have cited a number of functions of the state as a guarantor of social policy in the field of shaping the social health of youth. At the end of the study, the authors have formulated some principles that should guide the state and social institutions involved in the formation and support of the social health of the modern youth.
