Social aspects of economic and household life of special employers in the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous okrug - Yugra

This problem due to the change of perspective is actively considered in historical science. In the article, based on analysis of the archive documents is given the analysis of the household arrangement of the special settlers on the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra. The main problems faced by special settlers in this region were identified. Social and living conditions of special settlers have been reconstructed. Housing conditions, medical care, food conditions were considered and daily life was presented. Based on the studied materials the attitude of special settlers to the new living conditions and the attitude of the local authorities to this category of population were shown. Numerous documents testify to unbearably hard life of the special settlers. It should be noted that the local authorities were not always able to fulfill the plans for the economic and household arrangement of special settlers: in unusual for them harsh climatic conditions, in the absence of the necessary materials, they had to build their own homes. Special settlers did not have enough food and clothing, sanitary requirements were not complied everywhere, etc. The contribution of special settlers to the economic development of the region is noted. A special role was played by special settlers in the growth of agricultural production: knowledge of the basics of agricultural technology, skills and experience of farming were quickly adopted by the local population.
