Social aspects of food security: the case of the chicken egg

The article examines the practice of ensuring food security in the Russian Federation in modern conditions. The following components of food security are identified: physical and economic accessibility of food. The relationship between food security and economic security and social stability is pointed out. The analysis was carried out using the example of the edible chicken egg market, which experienced an increase in prices in the second half of 2023, which caused a negative reaction from the population. The reasons for the current situation have been studied, and the actions of the authorities to correct it have been assessed, including from a socio-psychological standpoint.
