The social aspects of religiousness: structure and development mechanisms

The article studies the spiritual bases of religion and religiousness and the forms of their implementation in the modern world. The authors discuss the correlation between the religion and the main spheres of human life: language, awareness, sociality, historicity, etc. The paper considers the mechanisms of religiousness implementation: anthropomorphism, rationalization, communication, symbolization. It is proved that religiousness has various individual manifestations, but it is not reduced to individual, psychological characteristics. It is concluded that any religion is a symbolical expression of the social reality and represents all changes that happen to a society and a person.
