Social determinants of personnel’s self-development in the organization

The article identifies and analyzes the social factors that determine the self-development of employees. The author develops a new understanding of the term of “personnel’s self-development” as a complex phenomenon that includes social and individual characteristics and is managed by different tools of indirect influence on the employee. The research proves the feasibility of using self-development process by the organization as a method of enhancing the employee’s creative and labor potential. The article shows that it significantly increases the human capital of the organization, meets personnel needs for self-realization and status and career development. Besides, it rises the level of employees’ professional and personal competence. The paper discusses the most important social determinants of personnel’s self-development in the enterprise: job management, financial and career incentives, organizational culture, organizational climate, as well as the destructive motivation factors. It indicates the most important channels of their influence on the employee’s behavior.
