Social conditions of unemployment in Buryatia at the turn of the 20-21 centuries

This article focuses on the social processes of the Russian society in the conditions of transformation. Russia’s transition to a market economy has led to a profound differentiation of society and exacerbated the economic, political and social problems. Social inequality is a serious problem for the development of the Russian society and the country as a whole. Key trends in the development and existence of the social sphere are directed only at deepening differentiation and marginalization of the part of the population. Attaching of new forms of social stratification on existing ones takes place, that is why a group of only marginals increases. The result is an insurmountable difference of unsecured income segments of the population from a top stratum that is not numerous. The gap between these strata becomes almost insurmountable in the opportunities for access to the resources of cultural and intellectual development. The nature of social inequality shapes the attitude to work, motivates to various conflicts, leads to dissension and disunity in society.
