Social capital as an element of social and political processes in the USA and Great Britain

The article deals with the strong background of the civil associations’ work in Great Britain and the USA. The author analyzes the charities as an important measurement of social capital, points out the high degree of involvement both into various voluntary civil associations and in mass charitable activities in Great Britain and the USA, and summarizes the factors influencing the social capital level in these countries, as well as political participation indicators.
