Social capital in society virtualization

The relevance of this article is determined by the fact that social capital, which is the subject of the author's research, is considered in modern society as an important basis for influencing the quality of life of the country. Theoretical and methodological aspects of social capital in the virtualization of society are disclosed. Analysis of one of the tools for measuring social capital in today's information space is carried out. The author uses the following research methods: deduction, induction, review of scientific publications, comparative analysis of statistical data, method of describing. The following conclusions are drawn as a result: 1) cyberspace is a new dimension of social capital, which is evolutionary in nature; 2) a society that actively uses the Internet creates conditions for the development of individual social potential and increased confidence; 3) cybersecurity against internal and external threats must be ensured.
