Introduction. From the perspective of a systems approach, the article examines the phenomenon of childhood and its sociogenetic code, formed in society, which for a child from the moment of his birth is the family. To determine the role of the family as an important social institution aimed at educating the younger generation and socializing the individual, through the prism of sociology, pedagogy, psychology and law, various aspects of a subject’s life that influence the formation of a person’s morality and citizenship are considered.
