Sociocultural adaptation of young Russian-speaking migrants abroad (according to the materials of the sociological research)

The article deals with the process of migrants adaptation in a social and cultural space in the host countries. Migration in the modern world, as well as cross-border people flows gain a large-scale character. The article reveals the problems which young people face when they move to other countries. The basis of the empirical research is the resume interviews with people with the minimum age of 30-years and above who emigrated from Russia in 2005-2014. In order to identify the features of adaptation of immigrants from Russia in the sociocultural space of the host countries the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science of Ulyanovsk State University conducted a sociological research "Features of sociocultural adaptation of young emigrants abroad (on the example of Russian-speaking population which emigrated from Russia in 2005-2014)" in March and April, 2015.
