Sociocultural adaptation of young Russian-speaking migrants abroad (according to the materials of the sociological research)

This article is devoted to the adaptation process of migrants in a sociocultural space in the host countries. Migration problems, which are connected with cross-border people movements, gain a large-scale character. The top-problems are about what young people face when they move to other country. The basis of an empirical research is the theories of acculturation and sociocultural adaptation of migrants. In order to identify the features of adaptation of immigrants from Russia in the sociocultural space of the host countries there was conducted a sociological research "Features of sociocultural adaptation of young emigrants abroad" on the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science at Ulyanovsk State University in March and April 2015. The study was on the example of the biographical interviews of Russian-speaking population, which emigrated from Russia from 2005 to 2014.
