One of the key vectors of state policy in the field of education is to solve the problem of self-determination and self-realization of the younger generation, including disabled people with various nosologies. The article presents an overview of a number of legal acts that regulate the features of the organization of career guidance for young people with disabilities. The focus of attention of the authors is aimed at considering a wide range of issues related to the problem of creating conditions for successful professional self-determination of students with disabilities in educational institutions of the Chelyabinsk region. The study also presents the experience of the South Ural region in terms of the implementation of the socio-cultural practice “Educational Expedition”. The conceptual approaches of this experience can form the basis of boxed solutions for use in career guidance practice in other regions.
