One of the priority areas of modern cultural studies is the study of the social and cultural space. A number of economic, political, social, cultural factors influences its formation. The city is a social and cultural space of modern life. The concept "city image" has a special symbolic significance in the life space of the person in the context of contemporary cultural studies. Two spaces meet and overlap in the city: geographical and physical - the place, the landscape, and semantic and symbolic space of the consciousness - the city-text, the city-symbol, the language of the city, city marks. The city is a humanized space, anthropologically decorated Genesis, the human dimension of space. Notebly the border is not only a line which separates different ontological areas from each other, but also a place where they meet, collide and interpenetrate, where the human can escape from one space to another, where his death, loss and transformation are possible as well as finding himself. Arguably any city can have its divine archetype, prototype, which it coincides, and its spiritual history. The process of city image formation is unpredictable. The image of the city is created by means of various types of art; the artist can focus on specific urban objects, sculptures, and new buildings.
