Social and cultural foundations of ethnic identity in the context of globalization

The article deals with the study of ethnic processes. The main factors of ethnic identity are determined. The classification of the constituent elements of the socio-cultural plan ethnicity has been given on the example of the Republic of Buryatia. Some development features of ethnic and cultural identity of migratory groups were considered.
