Social and cultural resources of sustainability of rural territories: the state and prospects of reproducing

The article examines the state of socio-cultural resources of the post-reform village and defines their role in the sustainable development of rural areas. At the same time, the actual task is to substantiate the unity in the interaction of spiritual and material elements of culture. Socio-cultural resources are presented as a set of meanings, spiritual activities of people, the result of which is an increase in the degree of mastering the current culture, a positive impact on production, the labor sphere and the environment. The author concludes that the situation is typical when the production environment and cultural infrastructure of rural settlements do not have platforms for realizing the potential of a person’s creative abilities. The current state of the spiritual world of people and their social mood suggest a weak orientation towards active participation in the arrangement of rural areas of residence, which affects the overall level of their stability.
