Socio-cultural stereotypes as a key component of the modern foreign language teaching strategy

It is shown that one of the main requirements for the language training of future specialists, especially philologists, is an adequate reflection of the cultural component characteristic of the country of the acquired language. The article substantiates the position that for fullfledged communication in a foreign language, it is necessary to master the main elements of the complex of knowledge about the language and culture of the country, which are presented by native speakers as familiar. In light of this, in the practice of teaching foreign languages it is necessary to strengthen attention to mastering students' socio-cultural stereotypes that promote the inclusion of students to the conceptual system of foreign culture society, form the ability to recognize the motives and value orientations of carriers of a particular worldview, and thus are key to the formation of a specialist as a full member effective intercultural dialogue.
