Sociological analysis of the capability of competitive relations in the work community

The purpose of this article is the determination and assessment of the potential of competitive relations in the work community based on the sociological research materials conducted in 2016-2017 at Belgorod enterprises that are part of Energomash-Stroy Holding Company OJSC and Novator, “EMK-ZMK” factories. The subject area of research includes the intensity of competitive relations, their actual and potential role in the work community, the effectiveness usage of competitive potential, the motives of competition, the place and role of imitation in the structure of labor competition, the subject of imitation. There were drawn conclusions about the sufficiently high potential of competitive and imitative relations in the work community and, at the same time, insufficient usage of this potential, which is hindered by inadequate stereotyping of competitive relations, quick staff turnover, insufficient attention to the development prospects of the organization, etc.
