Sociological portrait of the first year military university students

The article reviews the main trends characterizing theappearance of modern first year students of militaryuniversities of the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense. It is based on data obtained asa result of socio-logical research of 2013–2015. The paper describes themotivation of military students for enlisting in the mili-tary service and their satisfaction with learning environ-ment for the first months of the educational process.
