Sociology and society: problems and interactions»

In the article a difficult problem of necessity of a fundamental sociological theory (metatheory) is discussed. In spite of the fact that there are a lot of attempts to create new modern theoretical schemes and conceptions, none of them can be considered to be a theoretical basis of sociological science, which still remains a «provincial» science. The author gives a brief review of recent works written by Russian sociologists, which are of a paradigm character and can make up the foundation for working out of actually dimensioned methodology and theory of sociology.
