The content of the activities of the internal affairs bodies of Russia in countering extremism among young people

The direct activity of state bodies to suppress offenses is equally correlated with the activity to identify and prevent deviations in the behavior of citizens contrary to generally recognized social and legal norms established in the legal system of the country. The multi-component structure of the activities of state bodies is a generalized organizational link called “counteraction”, where counteraction is a collective category that includes measures of a preventive, organizational and managerial, legal and directly counteracting nature, the basis of activities that are carried out at all levels of government using methods and measures of state coercion, as well as a set of preventive measures aimed at improving the crime situation in the country. The above undoubtedly applies to the activities of the internal affairs bodies, which are the main universal law enforcement agency in the system of state authorities, and which, among other things, combat extremism in its various types, forms and manifestations in society, including among young people. This article is devoted to the content of the activities of internal affairs bodies to combat youth extremism, since the internal affairs bodies are the main subject of counteracting extremism in the Russian Federation. Issues related to the areas of activity of specific departments of the internal affairs bodies to combat extremism among young people at the current stage of society development are considered.
