The aim of this work was to determine the levels of growth factors in plasma with a normal number of platelets and the effectiveness of their effect on fibroblasts. We analyzed samples of peripheral blood from 50 apparently healthy individuals (22 men and 28 women), aged 30 to 40 years. Both men and women showed an increased content of platelet growth factors PDGF-AA, VEGF, IGF-1. No significant changes in the content of the factor EGF have been established. A culture of human dermis fibroblasts has shown a stimulating effect of a plasma pool with a normal platelet count on the proliferation of these cells. Thus, the plasma not enriched with platelets, obtained by the new method, can be effective due to the moderate accumulation of platelet growth factors, which are most important for skin regeneration.
Platelet-free plasma, platelet growth factors, transforming growth factor-β1, vascular endothelial growth factor, insulin-like growth factor, epidermal growth factor, human dermis fibroblasts
