Data on mercury content in the components of the environment (water, sediments, soil, plants) near the Kirovo-Chepetsk chemical industrial complex (Kirov Region), where mercury is used in the technological process, is presented. The study revealed water bodies most polluted with mercury compounds. It is shown that areas with high mercury content in soil and plants are associated with the shores of polluted water bodies. Kinds of plants - mercury accumulators are identified for the first time for the territory under study.
