Content-subtext aspect of discourse information in publicistic text

This article analyzes the content-subtext aspect of the informative content of a publicistic text, its functions - the informative and the impact functions. Characterized the effect on speech-recipient. It describes how to identify subtextual information in context. The subtext information is justified by the ability of any language to generate associative and connotative meanings, the ability of a sentence to grow meanings and the human ability to comprehend them. Perceiving a statement read or heard, the recipient usually uses information that comes from the context, which plays a major role in understanding the meaning of the context of the statement. Examples of the use by journalists of such a technique as “subtext” in journalistic discourse published in the media are adduced.
