Preservation of the cultural heritage of Mongolia: projects implemented at the Museum of fine arts named after Zanabazar

The article provides a review of the main projects of the Museum implemented in collaboration with foreign researchers, artists and non-governmental organizations from the USA, the Netherlands, Russia in 2000-2018. The experts’ role from the UNESCO and ICOM is greatly emphasized. The goals, objectives and results of work to improve the conditions of the preservation of the exhibits are outlined. The author characterizes some joint Russian-Mongolian projects implemented at the Museum named after Zanabazar in 2011-2018.
