Preservation of cultural traditions: folklore as a factor of education

The article substantiates the socio-cultural value of children's folklore as a universal educational system that contribute to the comprehension of universal human experience, foundations of the national culture, personal development of a child. Particular attention is paid to the need for systematic work on familiarization of children with the traditions of folk culture. The author believes that the folklore-based creative activities can support reproduction and historical continuity of national cultural traditions.
