The problem of preserving cultural and natural heritage remains one of the most urgent today. The culturological approach, taking into account the variability of theories and concepts, allows us to consider the studied phenomenon of dance art in a complex of relationships that most fully reveals its content and essence. Olga Petrovna Ivanova-Sidorkevich is a significant personality in the history of the culture of Yakutia. Her active civic position, versatile professional and social activities cause universal recognition, as well as reasonable scientific interest. The implementation of the project of the children’s ethno-cultural dance festival serves the purposes of developing art education, supporting young talents, perpetuating the memory of O. P. Ivanova-Sidorkevich. Interests and understanding of the responsibility of O. P. Ivanova-Sidorkevich extended not only to the creative development of children, but also to the conservation of nature. She expanded the meaning of dance culture in the formation of patriotism, in the dance interpretation of environmental problems. Her life is an example of a deep conviction in the power of art and its positive impact on society: how art, cultural, political, environmental and other topical issues of our time can be addressed through creativity.
