Soldiers' councils in the Serbian volunteer corps in Russia in the spring of 1917

The article is devoted to the history of the creation of representative bodies – Soldiers' Councils – in parts of the Serbian Volunteer Corps, who fought during World War I on the Russian front. Noting the genetic relationship to the same process that took place at the same time in the Russian army, the author identifies specific features and characteristics that relate specifically to the Serbian volunteers, and also indicates that the process of self-organization of the soldiers began even before the events of 1917 in Russia. A number of documents used in the article were first introduced to the scientific usage.
