Soil nematode communities under heavy metal pollution

Бесплатный доступ

Nematode fauna and nematode community structure of the urban soil containing high level of heavy metals were studied. High density of nematode population, increase in the number of the plant parasites, decrease in the fauna diversity, and maturity index of the nematode communities were determined as resulting effects of the heavy metal pollution. The possibility of using nematodes as indicators of the disturbed soil ecosystem is shown.
