On the interrelationship between artistic and religious consciousness in V. F. Zhukovsky's esthetics (1830-1840)

The author examines one of the later periods of Zhukovsky's relationship to religion. The problem of faith, Christian sorrow as a key concept of the psychological concept of Zhukovsky, the poet's relationship with the Decembrists, the inner connection of Zhukovsky and Gogol in the 1940s are the key problems that are considered in the article.
