The present study focuses on the impact of comorbidity of affective disorders and personality disorders on the level of perceived social adaptation and the relationship of indicators of social adaptation and severity of current depressive episode in appropriate patients. The total group of patients with a current depressive episode was divided into main subgroup (n=60) - with presence of comorbid personality disorders and comparative subgroup (n=60) - without comorbid personality disorder. SASS, SiGH-SAD, CGI-S, BDI and SPRAS scales were used as psychometric instruments. Presence of comorbid personality disorder increases negative assessment of the level of their social adaptation in appropriate patients, determines greater severity of current depressive episode in comparison with the respective indices in case of affective disorders without comor-bid personality disorders.
