Compliance of incentive payments with wage functions and basic legislation standards

In order to study the issue of compliance of incentive payments, including bonuses, with wage functions, the article analyzes the compliance of the established mass understanding of the rules for determining the cases and amount of incentive payments, including bonuses, with wage functions and current labor legislation. The conclusions obtained through analysis and comparison show differences in the content of the law and established practice on the issue under study. An option is proposed to refine the formally established concept of “wages” by including in it provisions already available in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, to simplify the understanding of the content of the legislation and thereby help bring law enforcement practice into compliance with the law and the functions of wages.
