Supporting college students’ professional self-determination in interaction with their family: traditions and innovations

The article presents some intermediate results of the implementation of the first stage of the innovative project on the topic “Psychological and pedagogical support for students’ self-determination in interaction with their families” at the State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution “Magnitogorsk Pedagogical College”. The project was initiated as one of the promising ones in the process of interaction with parents (legal representatives), implementation of the educational program directions. An interpretation of the concept of “professional self-determination” is proposed, the relevance of professional orientation of students in interaction with the family is determined. A review of methodological approaches used in the processes of professional self-determination is conducted. Integration of traditional methods of education and modern technologies is becoming important. Using the capabilities of the digital educational environment ensures high-quality interaction of all participants in educational relations. A model of the digital educational environment of the college is presented, key tasks are identified that can be solved in an educational organization by implementing this model. One of the components of the digital educational environment is the parent portal. The task of the portal: building systemic work with parents (legal representatives) in the direction of professional self-determination of students. The parent portal provides testing in an online format, automatic processing and saving of results, creation of electronic registers of diagnostic methods, online counseling, improvement of the quality of prevention and educational activities, information exchange, etc. Some structural components of the parent portal are presented: psychological examination of college students in an online format, online counseling, chat with a psychologist. Using the example of the diagnostic survey, processing and familiarization with the results, the possibilities of using the parent portal are tested. The use of a digital educational environment allows integrating traditional and innovative educational and educational technologies.
